The program

What is CIYO?

Designed by the Ashland Institute - Oregon, USA - the Coming into Your Own program has been implemented worldwide for over 20 years to support women in bringing forth and fully developing their potential.
CIYO is a dynamic program of personal and professional leadership growth dedicated to women who are eager to engage in a process of reflection, exploration, and regeneration within a collective context that thousands of women around the world have chosen to participate. Companies such as Hewlett-Packard, BP, World Bank, Shell, Intel, Boeing, Carrefour, Decathlon, Bayer, and many others have supported the participation of women from their organizations in the program.
As women, we often are not fully aware of our capabilities and the contribution we can make to the development of good relationships and the well-being of the entire system. We are capable of collaborating, listening, valuing the process and people, and having a long-term vision, but unconsciously we tend to do so while remaining within the masculine paradigm that recognizes these abilities in us but simultaneously underestimates us as women.
CIYO works on our level of awareness, delving deep into who we are, who we have been, and who we want to become. It supports us in understanding both our internal dynamics and the external challenges of life and work.

“CIYO encourages transparency and authenticity by providing a safe and open environment. Here women can compare their experiences, generating the enormous power of solidarity.”

Artboard 12

A growth path

We will explore the stages of female development in its different dimensions: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Your personal story

We will draw your personal story, the one that brought you to this point in your life.

The Symbols Way

We will experience The Symbols Way, a unique process, in small groups, to identify and address your current and emerging challenges, looking at them from different perspectives.

The toolbox

We will show you various tools to use to fully develop your leadership and your feminine potential, and we will experiment with them together.

Content

Exploring the phases of women's lives from a perspective integrated with specifically female criteria
Identify major personal life stages, experiences and mental models
Know and practice a holistic symbolic method based on the archetypes described by C.G. Jung with particular reference to four specific archetypes that symbolize the different aspects of self-management and leadership
Access the energies of the four archetypes to be able to face life's problems. Learn multiple leadership styles from different perspectives to "reshape" them constructively
Strengthen the perception of the sources of one's motivation, of the skills possessed and potential, even the least used, to understand their meaning for the different leadership styles
Recognize and expand one's own role models and conscious structures of creative work processes on oneself and on the team

Methodology

The three-day meeting in person, including online, is preceded by a telephone or Skype contact to allow participants and facilitators to get to know each other, create empathy and stimulate active participation. About six weeks after the end of the course there will be another meeting to explore further stimuli received from the course, the progress made in everyone's action plans and any themes to which further development is desired.

The methods used consider the person in their entirety - in the physical, intellectual and spiritual dimensions - to stimulate that level of self-perception indispensable for exercising self-management and quality leadership
The richness of the work and life experiences of all participants and facilitators is used as a creative basis
A solid and valid model of knowledge of the different energies developed allows their full valorisation
Individual interviews, work in small groups and in the larger circle create the right space for attention, vigilance and creativity and mutual support
Different forms of expression are experimented such as narration of experiences, poems, fantasies, creative work with various materials and motor and tactile orientation exercises
The models and methods are practiced so that each woman can continue to use them for herself in the future
We work on the development of individual paths that translate into concrete action plans
The autonomy and independence of every woman are valued and supported
